What to expect from your appointments

When you make an appointment, we will advise you of the best approach for you or your family.

For younger children, we usually suggest an appointment with the parent/s first, to get a thorough assessment of your concerns and to best understand your child, family history and circumstances.

For older children and young teenagers, we would also like to see the parents at the initial appointment, but will split the time with your child as well.

For older teenagers, we will see them individually to start. With their co-operation we welcome parent and family input into their assessment and therapy process and we can discuss this with you and your teen during the process.

Our Process

Comprehensive Assesment

We begin with a thorough understanding of the child’s needs, including parent input, school feedback, and developmental background.

Goals are set collaboratively with families to ensure they align with home and school contexts.

Parent Involvement

Parents are included at every stage to reinforce skills between sessions.

Collaboration with Schools & Professionals

With consent, we coordinate with teachers, GPs, paediatricians, and allied-health professionals.

Review & Feedback

Outcomes are measured and plans are adjusted for maximum impact.
